Mustang Football Family:
That was one of the best HS football game experiences I have ever been a part of. I am incredibly proud of how hard our team played in a massive rivalry game. Our offense was explosive and iced the game when needed, our defense had countless huge stops on key plays and our special teams was excellent. It is a testament to the work ethic of our players and commitment of our assistant coaches.  I also appreciate how much our program and school supported the fundraiser for a truly great cause in Folds of Honor.
I know there is frustration with lower levels- please bring any concerns to me if your player can not handle them with the coach. I believe this is getting to be a major distraction and my coaches are doing the best they can. We have a massive program and are doing our best with play time at lower levels. I know my staff is doing all they can to provide a positive experience for your player.
I have been hearing really concerning things about a faction of lower level parents complaining about “swing players”. I thought I addressed that Tuesday but clearly the message has not been received.
At EVERY program in the state, and the country, there are players who dress for Varsity and participate in JV. They are NOT considered varsity only players, and deserve their play time at the JV level. This is how it has always been at Ponderosa, every program IN THE COUNTRY and will continue to be. To those that are being a cancer in our stands; Your idea of swing players play time is irrelevant and divisive. You are hurting the program and I would like you to be positive. If you can not handle that, please contact me directly instead of being divisive in our stands and we can discuss your players and your presence in our program. This may not be a program that you should be a part of and you are welcome to pull your player from the program if you disagree so much with this philosophy. This philosophy is not up for debate.
I pride our program on a family atmosphere and quite frankly, divisive parents creating some bizarre drama that is not rooted in fact is disappointing and unacceptable. Let’s be better as a program  and as parents to create a positive experience for all our players.

The schedule doesn’t ease up as we travel to Monument for a 1 vs. 2 showdown with Palmer Ridge.  I look forward to a great week of preparation and competing at a high level this weekend with all three levels.
