We set several goals each year- this year our goals on the field are:

  1. Play to the best of our capabilities every week
  2. Defend the Pride of Parker Trophy
  3. League Title
  4. State Title

While the first half of varsity vs. Chap sure didn’t hit goal 1, our staff was incredibly proud of the resilience our team showed in our win last night. Players with less character may have folded or pointed fingers after that first half, but our leaders stepped up and focused our players, and it showed with how we came out in the second half. Also, goal #2 is halfway there with our victory over Chaparral.

Golden is a quality football team that we will need to prepare like champions for to have a chance to win.

Thank you to those who have stepped up for concessions. We made a little over $2300 for our program week 1, and we expect to make significantly more after we get the total from Chap game. It is not asking much to have players and parents give up a few hours one night to help our program, and it will be paid forward in future years. Working concessions allows us to keep our booster dues low and provide a first class experience for our players (black jerseys were slick!).
