Game Recap:  That was a great win against a much improved Aurora Central Team last week in the first round of the playoffs. Congrats to all of the players on your success. We are now 1 of only 16 teams in 4A still practicing. This week we have play Chatfield in Lakewood who earned a bye last week. Will that week off hurt them, only time will tell. The beauty of the playoffs is anything can happen. Let’s keep our momentum going this week!!

Schedule this week:

Tailgate: The tailgate details will be available later in the week as I have them

Housekeeping:

  • The game this week starts at 7:30 because there is another game starting at 7 pm at Jeffco Stadium – only 1/2 a mile up the road. Expect there to be some heavy traffic on Kipling prior to the game.
  • The team meal this week will be provided by Firehouse subs but we still need help with the sides for that meal. Please help out where you can this week – https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60b0448acad2baafa7-20214
  • Save the Date!! – The Varsity/JV banquet is set for December 7th at 6 pm (doors will open ad 5:15). This year we are holding the banquet at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. Each player and 2 attendees will be covered by the Booster Club, any additional attendees will cost $25. Keep your eyes open for a survey in the next few weeks for a head count – we will need that in order to ensure we have enough food.
  • All of our normal sideline photographers won’t be able to attend the game this Friday, if there is anything that would like to fill in this week please let me know.
  • For anyone interested, the link for the 4A state playoff bracket is here: https://chsaanow.com/news/2021/10/31/2021-class-4a-football-state-playoff-bracket.aspx
  • Because this is a State playoff game, CHSAA charges to get into the games. The season passes we have used all season will not work. The entrance fees are $8 for adults and $5 for students

Let’s hope for a great game this week to be able to move on to the quarterfinal round. Dress warm this weekend, see you all Friday.
