Game Recap: Another great weekend with all 3 levels getting wins. Chaparral was ranked #9 in 5A and our program as a whole took it to them pretty handily. The hard work all of our boys have been putting in is starting to pay off. We started this season with a lot of new players in new positions after graduating a strong class of seniors and everyone is getting more comfortable on the field. After 3 straight 5A games we now head into the meat of our 4A schedule with our first real away game. Look for more info on this down below. Congrats to everyone in our program on winning this cross town match up. As Coach Cohen told the players this weekend “Great win last night- that is really a statement win for the 2021 Mustangs”

Tailgate: We are planning to have a tailgate for the game this week at NAAC Stadium. Not sure of all of the location details yet but as I know more I will send that info out
Housekeeping:
- Yes, this week’s Varsity game kicks off at 4 pm, and it is about as far away from Ponderosa as one can go while still being in the Denver Metro area. The stadium is all of an hour away before you factor in the fact it will be Friday afternoon. Plan accordingly when you are headed that way for the game.
- Mark your calendars for a Chicken Shack spirit night(s) scheduled for September 21-22. They are giving us two full days, open to close. We’ll get 10% of sales when the customer mentions the Pondo Football Fundraiser. Grab lunch or dinner and support the program!!
- If you are waiting for a gear bag that you ordered a few weeks ago I am working to figure out the status of these and will update everyone as I know more. The team store order orders will hopefully be shipping out early next week.
